A zombie virus on the high seas is a unique spin on the genre.
Readers follow Jack, a policeman sent on a cruise to “relax”, but on the second day all hell breaks loose. With supernatural forces also at play, he gets stuck in a “Groundhog Day” cycle, with the same day resetting over and over again. This gives Jack a chance to use his skills and find out what started the outbreak on board, hopefully saving the world in the process.

The first 50% of this book was really great. I actually was really into it. The last 50% of the book seemed no different than the first half and I felt as though I was stuck on the ship too. It would have had a whole lot more stores had there been more of a story line and more than the same thing would have happened I would have liked it more. By the time I got to the end I was glad the book was over.
Great read!
After reading the blurb on this I was a bit concerned about the whole aspect of resetting time, but it fits in brilliantly and is well executed.
It's a great story about a cop that goes on holiday for a stress free time aboard a ship, which just happens to be the potential cause for the end of the world. Well written and more mature than some of the zombie crap coming out these days, this book is well worth a read.

Zombie groundhog day, set on a cruise ship? Sounds good to me! Good little horror story that takes 3 or 4 hours total to read.
Some disappointing/problematic moments drop my rating to somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars.

I thought this was an entertaining novella; initially it put me in mind of the film "Triangle". It wasn't especially well written but it captivated me enough that I finished reading it well past lights out time last night (this morning?). The ending had me reacting out loud!

The ending was kind of rushed, many things not explained and the solution was not really a solution.
