I got this book because of the illustrator who I really enjoy.
and actually otherwise I would have only given the book 2 stars.
overall I found the poems were written in this advise giving/truth stating format that I find irritating in poetry.

I think this was an alright read. The art was really the best part for me.

this is a fun little book of poems with teen appeal. the poems, though thought-provoking, were a little vague for my taste, but the illustrations were just so lovely. the artwork also ties the poems together in a way that i wouldn't have picked up on otherwise. i want to wallpaper my office in the illustrations from this book!

but i do have a favorite passage:

"It's pleasant to read in a darkening room
where no one at all can intrude:
A cookie and tea and a cat on my knee
while shedding a poisonous mood" (49).

bet you can't guess why i love that so much??

This felt kind of Seussian at first in its simplicity (no disrespect, doctor) and a little reminiscent of Shel Silverstein in places (again, no disrespect). Take that as you will. It’s charming in its observations and themes, angsty as some of them are. The illustrations elevate it, too.

Short and sweet poems about love and heartbreak. Snappy, clever rhymes and well done illustrations. 3.5 stars.

THIS IS SUCH. A. GOOD. BOOK.

OH. MY. GOD.

the way the poetry is relatable, the way it rhymes, the way every page is completely new and different.

also this books pages spell out the title on the side which is super cool.

i LOVE the art in this book, the style is so unique and each page is a new adventure.

it was about a 5 minute read and i enjoyed every singe minute.

definitely one of my favorite books of poetry, would HIGHLY recommend.

This a collection for young people about a first love, apparently, but I found the poems to be so basic and rhymey it was insulting to any age group.

Think Again has a handful of poems I loved, and a lot of really pretty illustrations I adored, but most of the poems were just a pleasant enough way to pass the time. This probably won't be one I'll think to recommend if someone asks me for a poetry suggestion, but I definitely won't advise against it. This is a short, pleasant read, with a few poems that make the whole collection worth reading.

Really easy to get through, I read it in about 10 minutes (probably could have done it in less, but I wanted to let the poems have there full impacting by reading them fairly slowly), but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth it. I really liked it.

"I try to leave all thoughts behind me,
but they always know.

They start to search and start to find
me everywhere I go.

Is being thoughtless such a crime?

My thoughts seem to think so."

I'm a big sucker for poetry writers who can impact me with such short poems, which is what this author did.
