It's nice to see Lisbeth and Mikael back together, though this escapade starts better than it finishes. In a woman's writing of their relationship, Lisbeth finally loses her manic pixie dream girl persona, and Mikael also isn't a legend - he's a washout, finally. They're older, and they make mistakes, which is intriguing. Also intriguing: Plague is newly unreliable, and that's a plot point I hope to see in a future addition to the series.
