I think I liked this one better than "Tweet Cute," but definitely not as much as "Begin Again." I thought the romance in this story was weak, but I didn't mind so much because the family-story aspect was SO strong. Definitely the best part of this book.

I did not connect with this book and had to force myself to push through it. Too much crammed into this novel. Very reminciest of The Parent Trap. Throw in Ancestry DNA, Instagram, Camp, and some unrealistic dialogue. There was a romance but it was overshadowed by the family drama with Abby.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this book. I did not influence my review.

Another cute coming of age. I like that the main character is a bit of a mess. Her journey is a little tough and she gets involved in more than one shenanigan. Ultimately, it's a really happy ending. Includes a storyline about adoption.

okay embarrassingly enough i wanted to read this book because i liked the cover & the authors name was emma
i digress

but overall this book was good, parts of it definitely made me want to continue on. However, the “relevant” comments and trendy things the author shoved in there every other sentence felt a little… trying too hard??? There were just points where it was so glaringly obvious that an grown adult was writing what they thought 16 years old think about in 2022. Silly!
But i enjoyed the story under story under story dynamic within it all.
Proud of myself for finally reading a fiction book! anyway
that’s all!

Wasn't a bad read when I was reading it but once I stopped I completely forgot what was happening and had no major urges to pick it back up but overall not a bad book. Would still pick up another book by this author in the future

Cute. Like a disney original movie.

I listened to the audio book. Cute story definitely YA (the kids are finishing high school) reminded me of being that young!

So this book started out slow for me, and I’ve put off reading it countless times because I just wasn’t in the mood (sorry Libby), but the ending and its message really packed a punch. Definitely glad I waited on it because it’s one of those books that I read at the right time. Much of the feelings Abby processes are so relatable to me right now (even if the situation isn’t) and it made me feel less alone. Good second novel from Lord!
medium-paced

Turned out liking this more than I thought I would. Love found family and a summer camp setting.
