For something titled The Complete Collection, it sure feels incomplete. Probably 3.5 still.
But let's do other things first. It's a bunch of fun Spider-Man stories, with an array of Marvel characters. There's an arc with Punisher and Daredevil that I felt dragged. I haven't read Punisher in an age, I skipped the Netflix series, I get Punisher is never going to be a good time, the truth of the character is accurately portrayed, but it was a tough stretch.
The book has no continuity. Each new arc doesn't seem to have a relation to previous arc, for Spider-Man or the world. Its the comic book version of Law & Order or the Original Star Trek; in neither of those shows mostly what happened previous episode doesn't affect the next episode.
That had to be a bunch of fun when it was a monthly comic, but it makes for a very weird collection to read. Marvel collection, hell Marvel titles these days have an arc to follow. This really doesn't, I haven't studied if this true, so it feels like they didn't include an issue. There's an issue before Spider-Man ends up in the Savage Lands. There's an issue before Spider-Man winds up on Carol Danvers' Air Force base.
I'm one of those collection readers that don't worry too greatly about all that, because I trust the writers are going to tell me everything I need to know to get through the issue. If you can do that and just trust that idea, go along for the ride, it's a fun, if somewhat narratively choppy ride.
That date started complete fiction, because I just don't note when I started a book.

Spider is dealing with being the member of several superhero teams and is worried about spreading himself too thin but also has to deal with his own personal baggage as a solo hero when joining a team of established heroes.
It was okay: I just didn’t feel as though I was reading anything that hadn’t been written several times before. I mean, we know that Spider-Man is a loner that desperately wants to belong but his own wisecracking nature prevents that at times. Good fun, but slight.

This book was good fun, but what was up with Hawkeye? The first few issues also employed some of the most appropriate uses of bold lettering.

A very fitting single issue that celebrates 50myears of Spider-man by exploring a day between Aunty May and Peter.
I found it very touching.

This volume features one of my favorite Spider-man interactions, wherein Peter bonds with Captain America over comics. It is so sweet your teeth might dissolve.

The book looks great and has some nice moments, but I'm not really in the market for a simple team-up run.

Great comic. Loved it. Right balance of zany humour mixed with heart and action. This was superb.
Read it because of #6, which was part of the Daredevil-Punisher-Avenging Spidey cross-over series, "The Omega Drive".
I'll certainly continue reading this series. I think I'm going to have to try more Spider-Man comics/collections, too. Just not sure where to start...
