I like this retelling where Jasmine raised up to the occasion and took control and wasn't the damsel in distress. You could really see her change from being ignorant to how thing worked to really becoming a sultana.

This book was extremely hard for me to push through. The beginning is exactly like the movie the exact same dialogue and really put me off. All in all ended up being an okay story just not one I would recommend or reread

A fun re-telling with a twist! I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to the rest of the series!

Wow, what a turn of events. I loved the way the Relationships between Jasmine and Aladdin has been deepened and given more time on development in this story. The atmosphere of this piece was definitely more mature than the movie. At some of the descriptions how people suffered before they died I got the chills. Although it was a really involving novel, I am only able to rate four stars out of five, since the first quarter of the story was only the retelling of the events of the movie, which made it kind of hard to read through, since I literally watched the movie one day prior. Since this is the first story in the twisted tale series, I hope the other parts will handle it a bit differently.
