I read this because I know nothing about politics. But because I know nothing about politics it was hard to understand. This book was wasted on me, but I did learn some new things!!

A great follow up to his previous book, blending geography, politics and history in an entertaining way. I felt like each chapter helped me to understand the world a little bit better, particularly because of the way the book linked historical context to current world issues. Not a page Turner as it can be a bit dry in places but on the whole a very good book.

Another winner by Tim Marshall, if only the politicians read his books perhaps we might all be in a better place.
