❧ audiobook review
Okay, I may have fallen asleep while listening to this so I'm going to have to re-listen to it as I don't know how it ends, but that's not because it's boring but because it's super chill. The narrator is a great and I love Tolkien's tales. Definitely worth checking out!

This short story is sort of a experimental pseudo-Hobbit piece. There's a older male protagonist and a dragon. The dragon is much like Smaug. Liked it but found it didn't have the same spark as Tolkien's more famous stuff.

"I hope you are taking some stout rope with you?" [the parson] said.
"What for?" said Giles. "To hang myself?"
I don't think I've ever laughed so hard reading a book before. I was in tears, y'all.
Funny and quirky short story. I've never read Tolkien's work outside the Hobbit and LOTR. This was a lot of fun to read and I laughed a lot at the silly humor.

Hans Paetsch ist wie immer wahnsinnig toll. Leider handelt es sich bei der Lesung um eine gekürzte Version, die auch irgendwie gehetzt wirkt.
