Not a fan of serial killers. I did like the main character but this is a much longer book than I normally do in audio and I just have no interest sitting with the killers for that many days.

Not my favorite Nora Roberts book. It was fine, but I found I couldn’t whip through it the way I normally do with her books. I loved the main characters and their families, but the villains were SO cheesy. The way they spoke made me cringe each time we flipped to them. I’ll definitely continue to read her books, but this one fell flat for me.

Absolutely phenomenal. Roberts did such an incredible job of building every single character into such nuanced perfection. The plot was air-tight, and it’s eerily believable for such a thing to occur in real life, which added greatly to the thriller element. Clara and Sam were such realistic, psychotic villains, and their reasoning fueled the fire immensely. Sloan’s story was captivating, suspenseful, and impeccably told.
