First off, this is my favorite author, but in the last few years, I really felt like her work isn't as good as it used to be. So, I was glad when I ended up enjoying this overall. Though the editors are not doing their jobs lately either. There have been so many typos, but my husband and I get a good laugh out of some of them. I liked the romance twist of this one with Theo and Drea having the relationship first. I really liked the suspense aspect and how the events at the beginning play into that. It is still slow paced as her recent works have been, but the pov of the antagonists helped keep the story more interesting. The family relationships are on par to what you expect from this author. I was a little worried as we were reaching the last fifteen pages of the book, and the big event hadn't  happened, but even though it was rushed and kind of anticlimactic I still liked how things wrapped up, and she will always be a comfort author for me.

A little too much remodeling and not enough NRP cop work. The usual Nora, a good story that kept you guessing.
