I read this because of Hozier and participation in an Academic Bowl. Very dense language but conveys meaning well!

Quick read, funny and interesting!! Understanding the sarcasm in the essay is essential to its enjoyment. Also, it does describe women poorly (however this was written in 1720s so that isn’t much of a surprise)

The one star is for his manipulation ability that while wrong is at least impressive

Few books how as well through time as A Modest Proposal does. Witty, hilarious, painfully accurate. Still relevant in current world affairs.
