really did not enjoy this at all. I kept at it due to all the glowing reviews (also reading for book club), but it was a long, hard slog. I didn't connect with plot or characters. It just seemed long winded and derivative. Look forward to hearing what others thought!

The beginning of this book was a little rough, world building wise. I can see where the author was trying to get to, it just took some time. Once all the pieces are in place the story flows at a much faster rate.
