I enjoyed the book and everything that was going on, but the ending fell flat. The actual consequential stuff got swept under the proverbial rug and the heroine and her aunties couldn't give a single eff about it. That felt in bad taste to me.

Meddelin Chan accidentally kills a man on a date, so she calls all of her Chinese aunties to help her cover it up. There’s a giant wedding and a lot of fun. This was cute, fun and just a perfect light read. It’s nothing ground breaking but it wasn’t trying to be. I think it delivered on what it was trying to be in that regards. It’s a little all over the place in terms of genre, so women’s fiction and general fiction is the best place for it. There’s a bit of a mystery thriller and a romance element.

Rounding up from a 3.5 this book is literally crazy HAHAHAHA. The thing about this book is. You just have to suspend disbelief and be willing to go along with it and have fun. This book is a trip. This book is camp. But I also really like the family in this book. And I had a lot of fun reading it.
