I thought the advice in I Heard God Laugh was sound, and I found the step-by-step prayer guide highly useful. I just felt like this did not need to be a full book -- several of the ideas seemed to be repeated over and over again for length. I think this could have been a long-form essay or blog post instead, and then the really good nuggets of information wouldn't need to be so buried.

It was a quick little book,  I'm interested to see how Kelly's style of prayer works out for me. I liked the emphasis on finding your personal understanding of how God is and the facets that draw you to them quite a lot.

Practical and beautiful. Potentially life-changing. Has transformed the way I think about prayer.

Sweetest lil book for a new believer--and for me to slow down and sit in the excitement and simplicity of faith, even if I have an established prayer foundation. I'm learning that deep theology in complex situations is meaningless if you are nothing at the most simple level. This book is a gorgeous introduction to surrender and joy. I love you Jesus, I love that you delight in us.
