Audio novella making up book 0.7 in the Cormac Reilly series and is only available for free from the author's newsletter. While there was a predictable twist & ending, was still a good story.

This book gave me quite a scare!

This is the second prequel and I can tell I’m going to love this series.

This was interesting and definitely sinister. I picked it up as an audible monthly release and I don't know why they would give us a book that is #7 in a series, but they did. Some things left me a little confused about what happened previously. I may bother to look up the other books in the series later.

Crime Novella Prequel
Review of the Audible Original audiobook (July 2020)

This is a prequel to author Dervla McTiernan's Cormac Reilly series of novels, which I haven't otherwise read except for another prequel [b:The Sisters|52757833|The Sisters (Cormac Reilly, #0.5)|Dervla McTiernan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1567071987l/52757833._SX50_SY75_.jpg|73126548] (Audible Original September 2019) . Similar to The Sisters, The Law of the Economy of Characters makes for a easy solution for the reader. There is a very effective shock moment during the climax.

The narration by Aiofe McMohan was excellent.

The Roommate was one of the free Audible Originals available to members in July 2020.

Meeeeeeeeeh

Not long enough!!

Too short. I love the way she writes so I would have been happy for this to go longer. It felt like they just wanted to end it so wrapped everything up a little too quickly.

Well written but similar to other stories.

I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series.
