An important book. A book that opens your eyes. This is literature. 

Talks about the genocide of 1994 in Rwanda and its aftermath. Every page makes you uncomfortable.

Un excellent roman pour comprendre comment on a pu en arriver à massacrer 1 million de personnes en cent jours. Ecrit en 1998 par un auteur sénégalais, c'est un point de vue d'un écrivain africain qui met la distance nécessaire à la compréhension des rouages du génocide tout en honorant la mémoire des victimes par la narration de la tragédie.
La postface apporte des éclaircissement sur le processus d'écriture de ce roman.

This hurt to read. I have read about the Rwandan Genocide before, but this hit so many perspectives and aspects of the genocide. It’s beautiful but deeply emotional and painful.
