I like friends-to-lovers. Aaron's father was a winner, being so accepting when those close to Aaron were not. That may explain why Aaron's father left to start a new family.
I felt that the end of the story was rushed. I would have given this more stars, if I felt that the story had better pacing as it drew to a close. That said, I look forward to reading more by MC Houle.
