Such a fun read! I’m very intrigued for the next one!!

My only gripe is this was definitely written by a man. Hey, Django Wexler, bisexual and/or pansexual women are not sex craved!!! We don’t all go fucking anything in sight and only think about our next fuck😃 The next book better be toned down bc that was actually ridiculous.

Other than THAT stupid annoyance, the story was actually fun. A woman who can’t REALLY die (when she dies, she’s transported back to one specific point in her history… kind of like a “Game Over” screen), doing video game type quests and plot points, trying to ditch being the princess FMC while trying to become the next Dark Lord of the Kingdom✨

This is 100% going to be in my top 5 books of the year, because it was absolutely brilliant! The storyline was one I've been trying to find in a book for years now, and to see it done so well was an absolute joy. The humour reminded me of Terry Pratchett and his Discworld in the best way possible. And the mystery/cliffhanger ending has me DESPERATE for more!

Reads very: I’m a man who’s never had a real conversation with a woman. Having a completely oversexual narcissist as a protagonist wouldn’t be the worst thing but…. No it’s pretty bad. But my main problem is that you can’t just get away with really problematic things using the old “but she’s into it” excuse. I get that she’s been through it all before, but all the graphic depravity just to show she can take it is weird. The jokes aren’t landing, and I’m just reading getting more and more uncomfortable.

The audiobook narrator was amazing and really brought to life a flawed character with heart who I grew to really like. This book has a writing style that may not be for everyone with swearing, violence, and sexual thoughts present throughout. If that doesn't bother you (especially with so much in the beginning), there is an exciting adventure that keeps you guessing and makes you care about the characters. I recommend the book with some caveats for people who want a fun twist on time loops.

Davi is essentially a female Deadpool stuck in Groundhog Day: Dungeons and Dragons Edition (minus the dragons), and it was FANTASTIC! My only complaint was that the chapters were super long, otherwise it was adventurous, hilarious, and deeply sarcastic—which made me positively GLEEFUL. Can’t wait for the second half of the story!
