This book is filled with so much nonsense in the best way. It's funny, adventurous, and creative. I say nonsense because it's written in that particular way, but it's on purpose, and it fits the story.
Davi is very clearly a woman written by a man. However, it doesn't really bother me in this case. I like the evolution of her character, though. Not a significant change, but enough that it shows some growth by the end.
There are tons of pop culture references in this book, some of which unfortunately went right over my head. It is a little odd sometimes because Davi claims she can't remember detail about where she's from, yet can remember tons of American pop culture. Not sure that makes sense, but alas.
The plot is great, it has a good pace, and enough intrigue to carry you through. Very excited to start book 2!
