I read this book because BTS read this book. Their Blood, Sweat, and Tears music video is strongly influenced by themes in this story. It was fun to read and see where the inspiration came from.
We follow Sinclair as he tries to figure out right and wrong and searches for truth. Demian is his fate as they both bear the mark of Cain.

meh, big first person syndrome on all the characters. ‘im not like the other girls’ . would have prob liked this better when i was 18.

Demian is a quite sad and depressing read despite being so short. The fight between good and bad, how easy it can be to slip from one to another. I think that I had read this book when I was younger, it would have had a bigger impact on me so I didn't love it as much as many others have.

This has to be one of my all-time favorite books. It's a story of a young boy on the way to himself.
The topics discussed here and the quotes referring to Jungian psychology are so dear to my heart. I'm sure I'll comeback to this book some time in the future.
