I've attempted this book a few times in print, because I was sure I would enjoy it. Finally gave the audio a go and really enjoyed it. I'm glad I kept trying.

This book was *cozy.* It was set in the few days leading up to Christmas, so I would definitely recommend reading it during that season. Milo is a young boy whose parents own an inn at the top of a snowy mountain that tends to attract smugglers. The book is a story of how any of the guests who suddenly descend upon them are link and what they know about the inn. It was a bit of a slow read and there are some stories told throughout the book that I found slowed it down, but overall it was very wholesome. *Slight spoiler* but I anticipated the plot twist at the end but in no means did that ruin it for me. It just added another level of intrigue. I think readers of "The Mysterious Benedict Society" would also enjoy this one.
