totally forgot this was pretty much an excerpt from Beautiful World, Where Are You until partway through, but a solid read nonetheless. I forgot how much of BWWAY reads like the description of a film, and how much it concerns itself with liminal spaces and a space's absence of characters. It's not a particular consequential short story but it was nice to sink back into BWWAY nonetheless.

I think this is some prequel to her latest novel, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I love her themes! I love how subtle and delicate the connection between her characters is! I love how day-to-day-lifish, yet engaging her stories are!
I cannot rate her with less than 5 stars, can I?

як завжди, мені важко читати історії Руні. це - оповідання про жінку тридцяти років і те, що з нею трапляється за період останніх десяти років. мені здалось, що я читаю про глибоку самотність і поки я про неї читаю, вона пробирається все сильніше в середину мене і робить боляче. в цій розповіді головна героїня, мені здається, втратила всіх і саму себе також.
