'This is a book about the climate and its supposed to be boring. I don't care. The readers will just have to put up with it.'
It's anything but boring. In fact it goes even deeper than just the environment. A really fascinating and enriching biography, not just of Greta, but her sister and parents too.

Interesting family autobiography, largely from Greta's mother Malena (a celebrity in her own right in Sweden as an ex-Opera singer). Learning the full background to Greta Thunberg's rise to international prominence is made all the more amazing considering her struggles with Asperger's Syndrome made her almost mute and virtually unable to eat not long before her school climate strike in Sweden.
The more didactic elements discussing the climate crisis are enlightening but didn't really feel like they fitted in well with the rest of the somewhat fragmentary book.

I think it’s misleading to put Greta’s name first on the list of authors seeing as her mother wrote this entire memoir. Regardless, it was really interesting to get a glimpse into their family dynamic and the lead-up to Greta’s school strike.

Mom's perspective... I cried, I laughed, I relate, my heartstrings are tugged, or played.. Very forthright telling of their family's struggles and values and progress. I highly recommend
