Another really fun installment of this adventure. A perfect transitional book with strong girls who love science.

This book was so delightful. It’s a wonderful combination of fun feminist storytelling, engaging and diverse characters, science concepts, shenanigans that will appeal to your average elementary-aged kid, and clever wordplay and vocabulary building. Plus Pham’s lovely illustrations!
This is one of my favorite early chapter book series.

I know, I said I wouldn't read this series any more, but I just couldn't resist. I won't be writing a long review though. This time the monster was adorable and cute and gooey, I loved the ending and how happy he was. I wasn't too happy that we get yet again even more princesses who fight battles. Sure it is great that everyone is participating but it loses the charm and it loses the excitement if anyone can just do it. Plus, come on I believe Magnolia (and the other two) aren't fooling anyone with their disguises. Also did Magnolia really only do a poster? Everyone has something big, and she has a poster???? It seems so not her.
I loved the names of the actions, just like I always do.

Spoiler Alert!

“I love it because they’re superheroes at the end!” says Violet.

And I loved the goo monster and his wonderfully illustrated expressions. And the way the monsters went back in the hole. Another great addition to the series.

I am enjoying this series with my 5-year-old. The ending leaves so much more to be discovered with the series!

Luckily my librarian told me that this series doesn't need to be read in any order, which is great since my five year old just picks whichever one has the cover that interests her the most.

With the Interkingdom Science Fair comes new challenges, and not just to have the winning project. Our heroine is concerned that she won't win the fair, but her main worry is because everyone else's projects are so wonderful. There's a little bit of time taken to discuss the projects, which is more science focused that what we've seen before. Also, while I like seeing the other princesses, they can't all be superhero defenders! That is equal parts fun and ridiculous. I have no idea where this series will go next.

For: fans of princesses and superheroes; fans wanting a quick starter chapter book; those wanting a book with a little science (but not too much).

Possible red flags: monster fighting.
