On Heroes and Scoundrels.

A short, fun book with the brief tales on the German legendary heroes and scoundrels. All the major ones are here. Siegfried, Willam Tell (Swiss), Faust, The Pied Piper, and Baron von Munchhausen, who is a hilarious teller of tall tales. Also includes some lesser known heroes, scoundrels and legends.

A great book to practice German reading at a relatively simple level. Defines any advanced words in the margins and also has a few appendixes in the back with notes on grammar and a vocabulary list.
