I found The Anatomy of Story to be very informative, however, I wasn't expecting transphobia in a writing craft book. John Trudy references the movie "Tootsie" and presents it as this excellent storytelling premise, when in actuality, it's a great example of how terrible a story can be, even at the foundational level. "Tootsie" is transphobic: a man dresses as a woman to get a job as an actress after burning his acting career.  The Anatomy of Story would be much, much better if it didn't use "Tootsie" as an example.
