I heard Sam Maggs on the Sword and Laser podcast and really enjoyed her interview. I'm a fan of Captain Marvel and for a Children's graphic, there are funny jokes and snide remarks making it fun and enjoyable to read. Highly recommend for anyone.

I have known for a long time that the superhero genre needed more cats and cat puns. I feel vindicated.

I enjoyed this! It's a very short story, full of flerkens and Carol&Jess friendship. It's nice and kid-appropriate, i think.

Whilst it's definitely meant for a younger audience, I couldn't help but adore Captain Marvel: Cosmic CAT-tastrophe. I don't read much Marvel - I'm definitely a DC girl - but I do love the movies, and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel holds a special place in my feminist, superhero loving heart. I've also never read/watched any Spider-Woman content, and now I really want to!
This graphic novel was centrally about friendship, and I loved Carol and Jess' dynamic, they were such close and adorable friends - or maybe more? I am talented at hoping everything is sapphic - and I loved it! They were always there for each other, always had the other's back despite everything, they had the best banter and could confide in each other. We stan female friendship.
Of course, bringing the Guardians of the Galaxy into the second half just made this book even funnier, and it was totally full of funny jokes, banter and laughs - determined to keep you entertained and giggling! The entire thing was unapologetically full of Cat puns and I don't even mind
The plot was adorable and fun - it presented high, world-saving stakes in a super fun way that wasn't violent at all - CATS. Just this whole thing is about CATS and they are ADORABLE. Well, technically they're Flerkens and not cats, but either way, they're SOOO cute!!
The art was gorgeous, full colour and stunning! It's definitely kid-friendly but also immensely intricate and gorgeous.
This book was pretty short, so there's not much else to say, but I'd definitely recommend this adorable, hilarious Captain Marvel comic to anyone with 7-12-year-olds or who are just looking for a bit of fun themselves :)
