I will start this by saying that if you’re looking for a feminist extravaganza, this ain’t it.

However once I just accepted it for what it is, I LOVED this. Real escapism and I will for sure be carrying on the series.

I listening on audio and the narrators were awesome.

This was different and surprisingly really good. The H was sweet and possessive without being OTT and the h was for the most part like able. I enjoyed the crazy cast of characters and the world that was painted. This future is crazy

This felt poorly executed. The dialogue was stale and robotic, purposefully pushing boundaries that shouldn't be pushed. It took the concept of "women are from Venus and men are from Mars" so literally, purporting stereotypes to the extreme for both genders in a ridiculous manner that it was quite frankly sexist.

Also, there was something discomfiting in the way she described people with darker skin, and it definitely felt like diversity just for the sake of it when skin colour is presumed to be white unless stated otherwise.

This was certainly a though provoking read. Needless to say I would go crazy in either the Northlands or Motherlands but I'm not going to get into that here.

I loved how the Christina and Boulder came together - they both had to compromise and I thought the spark between them was lovely.

This was such a wonderful read! I love the concept Elin Peer brought with this book, and further on in the series, where woman rule the world and men are few, with the exception of  colony in Canada of primarily men, all based 400 years in the future. The banter between the 2 MC was absolutely adorable, with growth from both characters as they adapt to each others ways.  Not only were the characters incredible, but the plot was also entertaining and unique. My only complaint is that I wish there was more details. I found there to be a lot of dialogue, which made for an easy, quick read. Tho I don't have much to complain about, I just would have loved more detail about the world this author visualized when creating this unique dystopian novel. I am extremely intrigued in continuing this story, and can't wait to read more of what Elin Peer has to offer.

This book was very well-written, but I didn’t love the storyline. The concept was interesting, but I wasn’t all-in.
