DNF, I don't think this author's writing style is for me. It felt very jerky and somewhat simplistic, making it hard to get into the story.

Started out interesting, but I DNF'd when the logistics of managing the reverse harem relationships got to be too real for me and took me out of the fun of the story.

This was my first read by Charlie and I was not disappointed! The characters through were well rounds and the tension between them was just *chief’s kiss*.

We have all the elements of a supernatural world with just the right amount of spice. While the spice it great there is also a great story to go along with the romance aspect. I highly recommend if you live a good supernatural reverse harem with an actual plot.

i really didn’t enjoy how one of mmcs were treated. he had a very good reason to be angry and i wanted to see how they work it out but i feel like the author cheated. putting mfc in a life threatening situation to solve it did not sit right with me.

the fantasy elements are interesting but not much happens.

i’ll give the next book a try and we’ll se from there how things work out.

I need book 2. Definitely some twist and turns that I didn’t see coming. Not just the plot but with the relationships as well. This is one of those books that you need part 2 right away. How long do I have to wait?

Full disclosure: I got this as an ARC but I majorly failed and didn't get it done before it's released date.

*****WARNING - if you don't like Reverse Harem stories and spicy time, you probably won't enjoy this as much as others would. And if you don't like the before mentioned things, probably should just move along, these are not the characters you are looking for *uses jedi mind trick*******

Although there are a couple minor things that bugged me a little with this storytelling, overall I enjoyed it greatly. The thing that bugged me the most about it was there was so much mention of previous events and cultural thigns, that I was intrigued but at the same time annoyed because I felt like I had missed something. I'll be continuing the series with hopes that things are explained or "experienced" so that missed something feeling goes away. I realize many times when a book is meant to be a series, book one is used for world building and attention grabbing, so it was successful in that aspect.

While this is a reverse harem, the spicy time with the Harem isn't there but it's a great foundation with introductions to those I think are apart of the harem. And the foreshadowing of the RH at the beginning of the book was a lot in your face, but I like that it wasn't actually in the book, so there is something to look forward to and its more realistic that all parties aren't just jumping in the sheets together. Slow burn sometimes is great. :)

I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book. This is an excellent representation of MMFM romance with polyamory. The storyline is well defined and ends with a segue into book 2. It leaves you wanting to know what happens next. The “romance” scenes are steamy. I do hope there is a better fleshing out of the polyamory piece in the next book as well as more details about the protagonists witch craft practice. That said I couldn’t put it down! It was a very easy, fast read that was spicy just the way I like my romance books. I can’t wait for the next book.

I would give this book 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

It's was interesting but I don't like the vague storyline so far. We got to know the MCs a little but this book barely scratched the surface. It was a little to slow paced for me, but I do like how the author wrote the mcs and their relationships. Building a good foundation. Excited to see where it leads.

Full Disclosure I received this book for free as an ARC reader in exchange for an HONEST review. All thoughts are my own:

Wow. Just wow. This book surpassed my expectations! It is the first book in a new series by Charlie Nottingham and if the rest of the series is going to be this good we are in for a wild ride.

In the introduction it is explained to the reader that this IS NOT an erotica and that there is an intricate plot line the spice is just a bonus. I’m always skeptical when I see that because usually that means that the spice isn’t very good and is just treated as fan service. Not in this case. Nottingham has a way of writing spice and intimacy that is like nothing I’ve ever read before. It’s beautiful, erotic, and truly adds to the depth of the story.

As for the plot… I cannot believe how desperate I am for a book two. The story and world that is being built here is incredible. Nottingham did an amazing job creating a story that is detailed and multilayered. I need to know who the woman in black is. What is her story? Who was the man she met with? How does Rains “Raven” play in to all of this? For that matter what does is mean that ***** is Rains Raven? So many questions to be answered in the next book(s) and I’m hungry for every bit of it.

This isn’t your typical RH where everyone falls in love with the MC and the group dynamic happens naturally and everyone is just okay with a poly relationship. There is conflict, communication, and issues that have to be worked out. I love that. It just adds a little bit more realism to the story. Not only that but the honest discussions about being queer in a world that isn’t friendly to queer people is incredible. The representation in this book is incredible and it’s done in a way that shows that the author is trying to tell a real story about how our world was and still is toward queer and poly people.

In summary… I cannot recommend this book enough. It is fantastically written, the plot is amazing, and I am truly and deeply in love with these characters.
