I would have structured the bookends if this argument differently, but this is a doctor and not a professional writer, and she has very important information to convey. The care with pronouns and care for trans patients also shows the importance of sensitivity in patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.

— listening to people’s abortion stories is so incredibly important, especially in the panorama we live in today, where governments still try to pretend that it isn’t a healthcare issue that affects us all.
‘one is not unique because they had an abortion. an abortion doesn’t define someone, it is one event in a person’s life.’
