Eldest brother Griffith is an ever-present character throughout the series yet he mostly keeps to the perimeter and rarely has more than a few words to spare. I admire his practicality and problem-solving prowess.

Isabella is eager to do ANYTHING to ease her family’s pressing financial burdens, despite the protests of her conscious. Isabella draws strength from her relationship with her cousin.

Each installment in the Hawthorne House series has its own unique vibe with a comforting mixture of tough topics and humor. The family setting allows readers to be lovingly invested in each character over the course of the series. I highly recommend this entire series which is firmly planted on my all-time favorites shelf and I am eagerly anticipating a new series from this author!

I requested the opportunity to read this book through the publisher. The opinions expressed are my own.

This is my favorite series ever, in any genre. This is my third reading of this book (I've also read the first in the series 3 times). Such a comfort-read and Griffith is seriously the best. I didn't like Bella as much this time, but I could see where she was coming from and there was lots of character growth. I wish I had more romances from Hunter to read (I've read all but one of her books) because she writes the perfect romance. Every time. Love them all.

Another good one by Kristi Ann Hunter!

I love a series where you invest in a family. And after reading all the other books I was looking forward to Griffith getting into some sticky situations in his quest for love. Yeah, he definitely learned some stuff during his romance journey.

I loved getting to see more of what made Griffith into the brother, friend, and duke that he was.

The finale to the Hawthorne series was superb. In this last installment we finally get to see Griffin, The Duke of Riverton find his happily ever after. It's quite hilarious to see him approach love in the way he approaches everything else in his life, with slow methodical precision....since we all know that's how love works right?!?!? LOL! Isabella is a great love interest for him, mainly because she drives him crazy! It was entertaining to see their story play out and I am sad this series is over! Trust me when I say, I will revisit these stories again soon!

I loved the entire Hawthorne series and this was a satisfying conclusion, though I am sad to say goodbye to the Hawthorne family! Griffith and Isabella's story was sweet and engaging with many fun (and funny) moments. I loved seeing characters from past books pop up, as well—always a good time! While this book can be read as a standalone, to get the most enjoyment, I'd read the other books in the series first.

A lovely end to the Hawthorne House series. This is the Duke's story, and is as charming and enjoyable as the others in the series.

I am so sad that this is the end of the Hawthorne House series! I love these books and the characters in them.

I am not sure I could pick a favorite but #4 is pretty close! I loved finally getting to read Griffith's story! Both he and Isabella had to realize that their plans are not always God's plans, but God's plans are always best! So much to overcome between both of them- pride, selfishness, etc!

The plot is great, with amazing details of the parks and houses and time period, and strong. I love how Ms. Hunter weaves faith through out her stories.

You will not be disappointed if you pick up this series!

(I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley in return for my honest review. I was also on Ms. Hunter's launch team for my book. All opinions are unbiased and my own.)

So sad that this is the final book in the Hawthorne House series. This enjoyable book is Griffith's story. While all his younger siblings have found true love, Griffith hasn't yet and decides to go about finding a wife in a logical manner rather than for love. His plans are thrown out the window when he meets the beautiful Isabella. However, Isabella is hiding a big secret and despite her attraction to Griffith, tries to discourage his attentions at every turn.

I enjoyed reading Griffith's and Isabella's story. It was a nice ending to the series. While this book could be read as a stand alone, it helps to have read the previous books in the series as the siblings and their spouses are a part of this story. I love that this is a clean regency romance with enjoyable characters. The religious aspects are part of the character's lives and are woven in naturally in the story. Definitely would recommend this to my teenage daughter.
