I really liked the art in this book in spite of the artists in 1969 not getting the uniform colors and relationships between the characters right. Star Trek hadn’t aired in the U.K. when the first of these were written. Add in the pulp sensibilities of sci-fi at the time, and the stories feel weird for Star Trek but in keeping with the tone of the Gold Key comics at the time.

However, my biggest problem is that most of this book is reprinted comic strips that span two pages. In a magazine that folds flat, that’s fine, but in this hard cover, you miss a lot in those center panels. In the last part of the book the strips original format was split up on individual pages, but center sections of the first 75% or so are unreadable.
