This was so good! Every time I thought I had it figured out, there was another twist and I had to learn who to believe and trust all over again. It really kept me on my toes and I loved every second of it!

My one qualm with this is that there were a few instances Cat should have apologized for (in my opinion) and didn’t, however that oversight didn’t detract from the book for me.

I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

No spoilers*** good book overall

Very interesting story. I've never read a book or series quite like this. However, the ending seemed a bit rushed. It would've been nice to get more of the changes that happened and what happened afterwards.

I won’t give any spoilers but I do have to say- I have NEVER in my life been so engrossed in a story. In most series, you basically know what’s going to happen by the middle of the first book. This series had me guessing up until the very end. Cleverly written with relatable characters that you can’t help but love or well hate some of them but then love them again. I read all three within three days.. like didn’t sleep- read while I fixed my hair, while I ate and (don’t tell anyone) even at two social gatherings. I became so emotionally attached to the characters and fell in love with Cat!! I’m pretty sad now that it’s over.. definitely one of my top three favorite series.

I had seen this as a suggestion on my UK Kindle unlimited.

I will admit this was my third attempt to read the book. The first two times, I really struggled to get into the book. On my third attempt, I just pushed through it and when I hit about 25% I found I was really into the book and couldn't take a break. I ended up reading it in a handful of hours.
The story focuses on Catori who has just lost her Mum. Catori finds a grave that has been dug up. She investigates this as none of this, including her Mum's death makes sense to her. Cat discovers that her ancestors are Fae Hunters and that the Fae are aware she exists. From this, it introduces a bunch of new characters including attractive yet unavailable Cruz, sexy arrogant Ace, quiet Lily and strong warrior Kajika.
The series follows Cat through her journey of discovering who and what she is whilst protecting the ones she cares about.
I really enjoyed this series because you believe she and Cruz are going to be together until Cat realises that she could never love a man who isnt emotionally avaible. She then cant help but be drawn to Kajika but it's hard to understand whether its because of him or that he shares the mind of her best friend Blake. Throughout the story you understand Cat's thoughts and feelings towards each of the characters but I couldnt help but want her and Ace to be together. I was so glad that I wasnt alone in this as Ace and Cat are truly in love with each other but struggle to stay together whilst saving the Fae world.

I highly enjoyed this story
