This is my third Poirot book (I'm reading them in order) and I found it boring. As it's a collection of short stories some stories will be better than others - in my case, they're all equally dull and unmemorable.  I also thought the writing was dull, (very this happened, and that happened) and you can tell these stories were written for newspapers for financial gain, instead of creating well-rounded mysteries. My next read is The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and let's hope that's better.

I like the short story style of this book and while some of the investigations were better than others I found all of them interesting and flew through this book.
