Even though this was written a while ago, it is just as good as when I first read it. Nobody writes romantic suspense as well as Nora Roberts
I enjoyed this book. I have not read a Roberts I'm a while and this is an older book. But it had enough of a mystery within the plot to keep my interest peaked. and the characters were a bonus.

This was one of the rare romance novels where the third act break up had me thinking “finally!” and while the redemption arc was sweet, it didn’t leave me particularly optimistic for their happily ever after. It’s amazing how much romance novel tropes have changed since 1994 - solidly for the better.
