I loved this book. I was truly bummed out when it ended. I wanted more and I love that about Nora's books. I really enjoy reading her books in between other books that are heavy or serious.

Brazen Virtue by Nora Roberts
She teaches at the local religious school and works at night as a sex operator. She's gone through a divorce and her husband has the child.
She hopes to fight to get the child but that takes money, lots of it. Her sister comes to stay after her novel is released.
Story also follows the cop who lives next door, he's a detective and is on many local murder cases. They all lead back to the sex hotline the women work at.
One invasion the woman is able to fight off the man. Also story follows the senator who is running his campaign and his family and how they are involved.
Really got caught up with this one, can't listen to it fast enough. Easy to keep track of the characters even though there are more than a handful.
Like how the characters are connected and how they involve themselves into finding who murdered the women.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

An older Nora Roberts title re-released to correspond with the release of the Netflix movie based on this story. I always enjoy reading the book before watching the movie and was excited to give this one a try. There were definitely a lot of references that dates this book (murder weapon was a phone cord, a number of characters smoked) so I'm eager to see how the movie made it a little more modern. Grace was fresh off a book tour and excited to spend some time with her sister even though they don't get along all that well. When tragedy strikes, Grace and the detective next door, Ed, are thrown together in a game of cat and mouse tracking down a killer who is able to stay one step ahead. Really enjoyed the suspense, was not quite convinced by the love story, but overall a fun read.

Nora Roberts is always a fun easy read. Great for switching off. I love how you can tell how old one of her stories is by how many of the characters smoke :)

Murder mystery novelist finds herself in real-life murder mystery
A mystery novel writer is pulled into a real-life murder mystery. Suspenseful and full of action, keeps the reader guessing, and wondering what will happen until the end.

Meh. I read this because it’s been turned into a movie on Netflix. Really had to push to get through. I wish they would adapt some of the new Nora Roberts novels instead of these old harlequin-type books. Her writing has improved so much since then.

A little disappointed by this second book : the investigation was great (very glaucous and twisted even if the identity of the culprit was not a big surprise), I loved the heroine but the romance was too artificial and swift ... (The proposal just after a few days ... Seriously ??)
Too bad because the previous book was much better !!
