Only one downfall

I enjoyed this book a lot, but it really felt like the second book in a series. I checked Ms. Sinclair’s books looking for Eva’s story only find out the this was her first omegaverse. I can only hope that Eva can have her own story too in the future.

Got boring. Dnf

A nice read with good character descriptions. Cliche/trope of a heat happens, a few others. But it’s enjoyable and quick read.

If you're looking for a fun spicy OV that's easily bingeable, look no further. If you're looking for plot outside of character relationships, look elsewhere.

esme

Esme a twin to a movie star practically lives as her sisters shadow. As most mothers who don’t butt out of a girls relationship , she goes and tries to find esme a pack. Talk about mortifying . I really enjoyed this book along with the storyline . Plus all the steam you can hope for with some very hot males. I definitely recommend this book.

This one made me cry. Esme (h) is an omega who's been shoved into the public eye and constantly compared to her actress twin sister (not in a favorable way). While she has a close relationship with her sister, her mother also adds to these issues and the paparazzi is especially brutal towards Esme. It's eaten away at her confidence and her belief that she can find a pack for herself one day. My heart hurt for Esme in so many ways because of how she'd been made to feel that led to so many insecurities and anxieties. I loved that she gets an adoring, wonderful, patient, and perfect pack for herself in this story, even if it took her some time to believe. The story is written in first person, multi-POV. No ow/om drama, no virgins, and bc used. No mm/ff within the reverse harem group.

When Esme meets Bennett (one of the Hs) at a party, their scents drive the other crazy but it's too scary for Esme and she runs. Of course, Ben has an amazing pack at home who take one whiff of Esme's scent on him and all of them have to meet her (4 alphas and 1 beta). From there we get fantastic relationship development, character growth for Esme as the pack builds up her confidence and trust in them, all the sweet connecting and falling in love, and plenty of omegaverse steam with heat, knots, nesting, and eventually claiming. I loved all of the main characters and this was such a well balanced group.

This is a faster burn, before the 50% mark. Each of the pack members is distinct in his personality, what they offer Esme, and even some bedroom/wherever preferences. There is a primal play/chase scene just FYI for those who look for these or those who don't prefer them, this scene can be skipped without any impact to the story too. More info on this scene -
Spoiler It does have an element of CNC where she is fighting as he’s trying to catch her, their instincts rise up as well. She does have bruises the following day where they wrestled but it is consensual and when the H who does this with her is concerned, she reassures him and wants to do it again.

I also loved that Esme is a talented artist in her own right and her pack happens to be a talented group of tattooists themselves. It fit so well and the details included related to art and tattoos were excellent. Esme's relationship with her twin, Eva, was supportive and lovely. Ben's sister, who helps design changes to their home for Esme, and a security guard helping to protect Esme from the paparazzi are additional side characters that offer support to the group. Unfortunately not everyone is supportive and helpful and Esme's mom does cause trouble, as well as the paparazzi who hound the sisters.

It does take time for Esme to believe that what's happening is real after a long time with toxicity and there are some bumps, but it all comes together and their HEA is a sweet one. There's an epilogue 6 months later that was cute and left me smiling. I'll absolutely check out the next omegaverse Ms. Sinclair releases and I would definitely recommend this well-written read.
