Es un cuento histórico muy cortito pero que llena el alma, es una historia de amor, seda, viajes donde en pocas páginas de adentras en un mundo antiguo donde pasar de un país a otro era mucho más difícil e incluso la gente un poco más hostil.
Me agrada mucho como está escrito, es casi como si cada capítulo fuera un poema.

interesting style of writing, short (1 page or less) chapters and use of repetition that highlighted the strenuousness of the main character’s obsessive returns to the woman he covets. good sense of atmosphere and the author developed interesting characters with very few words of dialogue. specifically, Baldabiou’s quirky habits (pernod with two fingers of water, only playing billiards against himself, not being one for “serious talks”) made him feel real and developed despite the shortness of this novel. however, was uncomfortably pedophilic-leaning at times with the MC’s description of the woman as having “the face of a young girl”. i see why people think he is a good writer, but this took me out of it.
