Read this for a world history class. It's much more interesting to read these primary sources to learn about the era than to just read a textbook. This is a very interesting religious document that demonstrates what Hinduism is about, which is better than any textbook could do.

It was actually an interesting read, to see a conversation between a warrior and a god.

About as spiritually impactful for me in its 700 verses as the Bible was in its 2500 pages. Even for the person not particularly interested in Hindu scripture, this holds truths and ideas that many religions and belief systems agree with, so don't let the specific religious association hold you back.

This was a literal english interpreation. I think however this book is TOO simplistic. I needs more context and explanation. Also, reading it on a kindle not a great idea.

Four stars because why are we still getting old white men to translate texts that are cultural touchstones when they are not a part of the culture?
Five stars for the content. On another level. Odyssey who?
