Fun, witty banter from Willa the Nerd. I loved her right from the start and enjoyed reading about her growing connecting to Matt. There were a lot of moments where I had to put the book down to finish laughing at what Willa has said. This is a really fun and fast paced book. More please!
Oh my goodness. This book. These characters. What’s not to love about all of them?
After reading about the Ashe crew, and some of their run ins with Matt that were less than friendly, I was super intrigued by his character and what he would bring to the table, especially after book 7 in the Saw Bears series. And Willa…she’s easily my favorite female of all the TS books I’ve read so far. She’s spunky, nerdy, mouthy, sassy, and just so relatable it hurts. Loved, loved, loved her.
And the way things end in this book…unexpected, but perfect. Talk about a wonderful start to a new series. Goodness.
Overall, HIGHLY recommended. I am so super excited for the rest of this series, especially after such a spectacular start with this one!

I really liked this couple. I thought I could never like nor care about Matt, but I think Willa made him more likeable.
A great start to a new series as always a super shifter read and i enjoyed it it is well written and has great characters
really good!
Great worldbuilding! I liked the characters and am interested in seeing where the rest of the series goes. I was initially a little thrown off by the hero’s lack of knowledge concerning how fated mates works, but the reasons are explained better as the book progresses.
Personal Note: This was actually 4 stars for me, mostly because “lumberjack hero” isn’t really my favorite. BUT considering I knew this was the trope going in, it feels very unfair to dock a star from the book for that reason!

I recently discovered T.S. Joyce. I just started this series tonight. I think it might be an all nighter. I loved this book and need to start book 2.
I loved that the heroine, Willa, was a nerd that didn't was to be around the shifters. She was tricked into going by her elementary school girlfriends that had turned selfish bombshells. All of this thanks to a pact made to celebrate when they all graduated college. The bombshells were shifter groupies. Willa was not.
Matt is looking for his mate. He needs her to help settle his bear. His Facebook page is plastered with bombshell look a likes. Willa was so not his type. She was the nerdy girl with glasses that was barely 5 foot tall.
The challenges that Matt has to meet made the book one I could not put down. Willa is an absolute hoot a woman. She has a confidence that will come in handy living with a bunch of brawny bears.

I started my TS Joyce experience with The Wolves of Winter's Edge, these 3 books were amazing, so I wanted to read more!! There are a couple of stand alone series, so next I read Bears Fur Hire. These were not as edgy or dramatic as the Winter's edge series, but fun, romantic and exciting reads.
So what next, well it seemed that if I wanted the most out of the books, I should go back to the beginning and start with the Saw Bears... Oh I am SO glad I did, these were great and you get so much more by reading them in order. Then came the Fire Bears, getting better and better...
So I signed up to kindle unlimited and have dived into the rest of the books until my fingers get pruney!!
The Gray Backs are my favourite so far, the quality of the writing gets better and better, the characters deeper and more raw and although they are exciting, they are also so much fun! Book 1 particularly made me laugh so hard the whole was through... And that carried on through the series! Book 6 - Damion's story - just WOW this deserved 6 star!
So about to start the Boarlanders... Can't wait - we don't know much about them yet - but think I might be a little in love with Harrison already!!
