I read this book a few months ago and continued to read the rest of the series. I love the ambience that Jónasson suffuses in his narratives.

A quick and easy read - but not one that makes me desperate to read any more of the series.

This is the second book in the series and it has continued building out the characters and the town in a steady fashion. In addition to introducing new characters, we see additional depth to existing characters which add red herrings or complications to the story. What is interesting is how well the author writes the characters and plot around how small towns work and the benefits and drawbacks that exist as a a result. I definitely enjoyed this book, although it was fairly short.
