I’ve read this book twice and i read it just as fast each time. It is very interesting and hard to put down, also because it has short chapters, making it easy to get through. One of my favourite books and i’m sure i will come back and read it again in the future. Highly reccommend.

I loved this. I thought it was poignant and beautiful and funny and emotional and devastating.

An amazing book about trust, abuse, trauma and surviving. I couldn't put this book down, the plot and the characters kept me reading for hours. I usually don't like thriller books but this probably became one of my favorites. The author managed to keep a certain lightness through the whole book despite the heavy topics, applauds for that.

4.5 Stars: This book was so intense! There are some graphic scenes so that can jar you out of the action. I would definitely love to see this adapted. The bi representation on top of it and how neither partner made her feel bad for how she loved them each in their own way and for different reasons. It made me so happy that love was the core once she had them.

Families can be defined in different ways and this book shows you how people can cope and survive was perfect.

For someone who has read probably like one or two thrillers in her life, I enjoyed this!

This is a thriller with teenagers that was well written, well paced and well constructed. I liked this straight forward writing. I liked the storytelling.
I didn't get that much attached to the characters except for Nora but I was surprised that it didn't bother me that much.
Nora's story (and her sister's) is tough. This book was darker than I thought it'd be, as it is the story of an abuse (of all kind) survivor who went through horrifying things.
Truthfully, I don't have much to say. I had a good time, I'm glad I had my bisexual and endometriosis representation, and I'm glad I tried the thriller genre.

  • Very fast paced and intriguing
  • Alternates between past and present
  • Bisexual main character
  • Nora and her friends have gone through a lot of trauma with abusive family members and/or partners, so the book is heavy on the aspects of trauma and survival.
  • Nora, Wes and Iris are all intriguing characters! I think it would be cool if Iris and Wes had their own books. I liked Nora and Iris’s relationship.
  • Iris has endometriosis. It was cool to see that represented in the book.
