An emotional page-turner that I feel ultimately says family and community is created, not bestowed or passed along. Finding and creating such is a challenging, but worthwhile endeavor.

Loved this book and loved the audio. It was a family saga full of secrets but so nuanced with fully formed characters. The multiple perspectives was very effective for me. Highly recommend this one.

This might be my favorite of 2023 so far. What a beautiful story about family that transcends the traditional. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat, even though this was a character-driven book. I appreciated the varying perspective structure of the book, too.
