Mrs. Harris is back and trying to find the father of a young boy who is being mistreated by the family his mother left him with. This leads to her and Mrs. Butterfield over to the United States to hunt the father down.
Of course everything ends well, as is expected with a Mrs. Harris adventure. This one was a bit less enjoyable than Paris but still a cozy and easy read.

This was a heartwarming story about a London char and her adventures in New York. There was a bit of crude language, but what I liked about it was that Mrs. 'Arris recognizes her mistakes and doesn't try to make excuses for them.

A truly DELIGHTFUL little book! I giggled out of sheer delight several times, and got misty at the end.

This new adventure for Mrs. Harris is much more complex than her first and a bit on the fantasy side, but an enjoyable book none-the-less. It led me to read The Snow Goose, the book that put Gallico on the map.

Not as bad as number three (which I accidentally read after book one) but not as good as the original!
