Foreshadowing:
- chapter 23, the Female Titan hurts Reiner when he gets caught, and after he frees himself there's a barely noticeable smoke raising from his injuries; later in the chapter, he appears totally healed
- chapter 23, the Female Titan observes its hand after Reiner escapes, then suddenly changes direction; firstly, it destroyed the right wing, where Reiner thought Eren was, then after Armin speculates that Eren might be in the rear guard, the titan goes in that direction inexplicably

[3.5] Estuvo bueno. El siguiente estará muchísimo mejor porque esto apenas empieza. Me encariñé con el grupo y me gusta ver como Eren no quiere dejar a nadie atrás aunque a veces no haya opción y aprenda que no puede ser impulsivo porque no siempre se puede salvar a todos

This one is a solid transitional piece, moving from plot into character development and greater context of the war. It mainly dives into Eren's quest for self-understanding. He learns to trust in his fellow humans, an overarching theme of the series thus far. The female Titan is curious, as well, as she represents a greater cross-section of the species. I'm taking a manga break, but I'll be back. I'm hooked.

The pain train just keeps chugging. Still hard to get attached to any of the characters when so many of them die so easily.
