I forgot how much I love physical book and could not put this down. I knew this would be my cup of tea, the ones with the dark and mysterious hero’s always are. The heroine I also found relatable while reading. I loved how the story unfolded, I did guess some things but it still never played out the way I thought it would.

I’m also currently laughing at myself because I guessed something really unlikely about a character in the next book due to language of a writer in a newspaper column. My was revealed to be true in the preview of the next book (which is not out yet). The love stories in the series overlap substantially via dates and events in one book are mentioned in another.

I do think the belle of Belgrave square will be my favourite in the series however due to the mysterious and stern seeming hero and hopeless romantic heroine.

Mimi Matthews! A favorite. This is a Beauty and Beast retelling, with a war hero coming out of the Crimean War and giving us a glimpse of that disaster, while the heroine's struggle is against her gilded cage and social anxiety.
