I got kind of distracted by the characters always calling each other by name. Otherwise, this was a quick, fun read. Also, I want a dragon named Gleep.
Kind of standard 80’s fantasy with humor tale. I liked it enough, but the ending was kinda fast.
Thieves World books as I recal them. I read these as a kid and loved them all. Short books filled with action, daring and dangerous new worlds, and lots and lots of comical shananigans. I gave this one a fast reread and I will be sure to revisit whenever my to read stack gets filter down to a big fat 0.
I can't believe it took me so long to get around to reading these, but I'm sorta glad it did. They are exactly the type of light entertainment I need right now.
I first read the Myth series in high-school, and I'm pleased that in re-reading the first book the series still holds up for me. I believe it's the dialog that works for me, and that Skeeve actually is a stronger character than I remember.
I liked this alright. I kept comparing it to Discworld, but that was more a fault on my part than the actual book, it couldn't compare to that series but it was interesting and I wouldn't mind reading more from this series, but I wasn't blown away.
