Wendy Mass

4.2 AVERAGE

Started out strong, great premise, and then petered out at the end...

third read may 2019 // comforting mg read since i love wendy mass, read while waiting for pride reads but it went into june whOOPS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ pages 67, 111, and 308 are adorable/maybe not cute but i love them regardless and bookmarked them for some reason???

This was so cute and imaginative! I can't wait to read the next one!

This was a great book! I loved how their were four points of view and story lines that meshed together to create one great whole. It was very entertaining and had some twists I didn't see coming. I read it in conjunction with an elementary school book club. The kids that read it loved it, too, and we had a great time discussing it. I'll definitely be reading the sequel. I hope it holds up to this one.

Also this is part of the 2017 Popsugar Reading Challenge I'm doing. #1 A book recommended by a librarian. This one was recommended by my local elementary school librarian. She's been trying to get me to read it for years!

Actual rating: 3.5

For some reason I just didn't enjoy the last third or so as much as the rest, but it was still really cute and had some legitimately unexpected twists.

I don’t read middle grade enough! This was such a fun story with all the Willy Wonka vibes!
