Wendy Mass

4.2 AVERAGE

adventurous emotional funny hopeful inspiring mysterious medium-paced

A very sweet story (pun completely intended), if a little predictable.

I liked seeing the events from each character's point of view, even if it got a bit repetitive at times, and found it an interesting way to slowly reveal more information to the reader.

This is my second time reading this and i think I enjoyed it better than the first time I read it. I love Wendy mass books and this has sure got to be one of my favourites. I love how it has four parts; one for each character so you know whats happening and what there thinking. When they describe the creative and delicious sounding candy it makes meant to try it so much. Wendy mass is great at coming up with all the plot, the factory and everything else in the book. She makes it truly interesting and fun to read.

A fast paces story filled with adventure, mystery, heart, and candy. Sort of a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory meets Wonder spiced with twists and turns. Wendy Mass can really do it all.

My childhood favorite :)

Read this a second time and notice the genius in the foreshadowing of all that occurs. The multiple point of views were an interesting and incredible way to tell the story. I didn't particularly like Miles point of view and I oddly enough liked Philip in all of the point of view. I like the opening slowly of the story of how Logan got his scars and the fact that he had them. It was nice to see how it affects his life without him knowing. My main issue was the tied-with-a-bow ending with no negatives at all.
