I took pictures of some of these pages so I can look back on them often. This book is everything wonderful in books. It’s heart wrenching, heart warming, and smart. The family, both born into and found, is so touching. I adore the way each character’s story played out and the growth in one in particular made me so happy. One of the best books I’ve ever read.

I romped through this book in one day. It was a total page turner. A really emotional story of coming of age and understanding self in huge amounts of adversity.
